Soft Music News – Beautiful Song from t.A.T.u – Underlining the Beauty of Same Gender Relationships & Revealing Short Skirts on Cold, Freezing, Rainy Days… Provoking sexual interest!

All the Things She Said” by t.A.T.u. is a compelling video that underlines the beauty of same gender relationships. In this video where grey rain falls over both the inspired and loving couple and a lacklustre onlooking judging community that stands behind a fence under umbrellas, the video is a celebration of the sharing of confidences in a private relationship. Against so much criticism of same gender relationships from religious institutions and some members and groups in society at large, this video is a welcome relief. The few minutes of music and images are an abstract affirmation of what everyone knows already: it feels good to trust one person in a world where many people feel misunderstood in a sea of enemies or opposition. A romantic element is introduced very naturally, confirming that just because two people of the same sex are romantically involved, they are still no different than any other couple. Dressing the actresses in school uniforms introduces one more perspective: in a world where female students have no choice in school but to wear revealing short skirts on cold, freezing, rainy days, why ever would these girls choose anyone else besides another girl to trust? All schools who impose skirts on women and girls are unfair, barbaric, and discriminatory. They exist in wealthy suburbs of San Diego like Rancho Santa Fe, beautiful towns in Ireland like Listowel, and countless other places. They are common at Catholic schools. Imposed short skirts in schools which make girls suffer from the cold, unnecessarily provoke sexual interest in onlookers, and rip away confidence and authority from their wearers, is a practice that should be banned. If skirts are to be worn, at least let the wearer make the choice, and not be forced to bare their legs in public in order to get a formal education. The exposed white underwear in this video underlines this point.

Thank you for a beautiful song, voice and video t.A.T.u., it says a lot.
